You're gonna die laughing because I'm literally sitting on the closet floor because I am on such a habit kick right now, and I refuse to get off of it. I've been upset, obsessed with habits for a long time, but I will equally admit being ADHD, it is very challenging to like focus and stick with a path, stick with those small, bite size steps that will literally like compound over time. So this has been something that I've been obsessed with all of 2024 and I am reaping the motherfucking rewards like it has been talk about dopamine, when you can stick with habits. And the most important habits, the dopamine that is created is just like mind blowing to me. And so I cannot shut up about habits like I very much want to create a 21 day habit challenge all around health, happiness, wealth, like all of it, and making it like this fun game where you track your habits for 21 days and you it's like imperfect action, right? Like, I'm not perfect. I'll never be perfect. I'm not striving to be perfect, but there are a few basic habits that I have been sticking with and I refuse to stop a lot like doing this Facebook Live, which is why I'm sitting on the floor. So although it may not be convenient, this was the time that I could do it today, based on my family, based on my energy, based on everything else that had going on today. And that's the beautiful part about habits is that there's still flexibility with your habits, but you doing it more than you're not doing it is key. And for me, what is important is really staying on track, meaning, like, if I miss a day, it's too easy to miss another day and then miss another day and miss another day, and I know that about myself, so the top habits are taking the top priority, so that way I don't miss a day, I can keep a streak going, and that motivation is key. So with the habit conversation happening, I want to talk about what is called habit swapping, so how everyone has habits, and the goal is that we have healthier habits that really help you create your happiest, healthiest, wealthiest life on purpose, like, It's almost like the goal is that it almost feels like, matter of fact, where, of course, you're going to, like, fill in the blank, how you get to that level is habits. Truly, it's habits. And this is really like, when people say, Oh, I wish I could be more consistent. I wish I could be more disciplined. What they're really saying, if you've caught yourself saying that, what you're really saying is, I wish I could be more consistent with my habits. And maybe we don't even know what those habits are, or we haven't defined them, or there's not enough accountability or not enough momentum yet. So talking about habit swapping for a hot second, I am in love with candy and chocolate, like, I just have a sweet tooth. Okay, so to tell myself, don't eat anything sweet, like, don't eat sugar, don't have candy, don't have chocolate, is probably not the best thing to tell my brain, because I have a habit of eating candy. It gives me dopamine. I love it. It makes me happy. I love chocolate, same thing. And so instead of just cold turkey saying don't have that, your brain will rebel because it is a habit. Your brain loves habits because habits build comfort, and your brain loves comfort and habits also build predictability, and your brain fucking loves predictability. I made sure that there wasn't a sponsor for today's episode so I can kind of go a little rogue. So today's episode is sponsored by Nellie Corvo from her closet. So I got on the internet, I did some research, and I found shameless snacks. So this whole bag of delicious, delicious candy, I'm not going to open this bag, because I will eat it. I've already had two. Two today. So I'm going to limit myself to two, but this whole bag is 70 calories. It is keto friendly, gluten free, natural flavors, 37 grams of total carbs and eight grams of sugar and three three net carbs. Oh, wait, okay, sorry, it was doing the math. There's a total of three net carbs. You don't have to be smart, but holy cow, these are so yummy. They give me the fix that I'm looking for. So I want you to think about things that you have habits with right now. Maybe it's smoking. Maybe it's going to Starbucks. That was me last year. Oh my gosh. I was going to Starbucks, legitimately, three to five times a week, every single week. Yes, I was a newborn mom, but like, that only goes so far, right? Like, yes, you're a newborn mom, but you have to be a little honest with yourself. Like, oh, this is becoming a thing. We used to eat out a ton. That was an extreme habit, right? Maybe you Netflix a ton. Maybe you scroll on social media. So, like, get honest with yourself of some of the habits that you don't really love or they're just not serving you like, don't get me wrong, I love to eat out, I love candy, I love chocolate, I love Starbucks, I love going in Target. I like, there's so many things that I truly do love. So maybe it's not even that you don't love it. But is it helping you get to your wealthiest self and getting to your wealthiest, happiest, healthiest self quickly. So going to Starbucks, I can call myself out. Going to Starbucks three to five times a week, every single week, is not helping my health because it's very, very sugary. It's not helping my budget, because that shit adds up super fast. It also takes time, right? Like, is that where I want my time to go? It also became a habit where it wasn't really enjoying the cup of coffee. Like, yes, it was good, but it was the habit. Like, it was the routine. My brain started loving the predictability. So a lot of people that want to quit smoking have to replace it with like chewing gum or candy or something else. So this is why habit swapping, no matter what the habit is, is so helpful, because habits are addictive, like habits are what's creating your life right now and creating your future. So until we change your habits, your life is going to continue to go down a direction that it's going down right now. So if I in 2024 continue to eat out every single night, continue to go to Starbucks three to five times right, continue to like eat bags and bags of regular candy and chocolate bars and all the things like, no matter what it is, scroll, social media, like, it's not necessarily that anything is good or bad, it's more so what is going to help you create your wealthiest, happiest, healthiest life as quickly as possible. And you gotta get honest with yourself, because nothing's gonna just magically happen, like, even like, winning the lottery does take effort, if you really think about it, and the odds are very slim. So yes, you could win the lottery, but you'd still need to become healthy, right? You still get to take care of yourself. Today, Emma asked me a really deep question, and she said, Mommy, are you going to die? I don't know where this came from. And so we had a conversation around it, and I even said, This is why mommy is taking care of herself, so I can increase my odds for living longer. And so we owe it to ourselves to feel good, and we also get to be honest with ourselves to ask, what are we doing to feel good? Like my body was a little achy tonight, which is why Emma and I went into the hot tub. This is why I drink happy juice. This is why I'm training for a full marathon. This is why I have decluttered my home, decluttered my budget, decluttered my mind, like I have a small task list, like everything I'm doing is because of the quality of life that I desire for myself and for my family and equally, anyone that I work with. I'm not about the hustle culture, and I've really had to undo a lot of that, and really get honest with myself and humble myself and be like, Okay, I've always said I'm just as much a student as I am a teacher. I am not on any pedestal. Literally, I'm sitting on the floor. It, and I'm just a real human super passionate about living my best life. And I even have a shirt that says livin, livin, l, I V, I N, living. And so how we create the wealthiest, happiest, healthiest life on purpose is habits. I won't stop talking about it or keep talking about it. I think that they're hot, I think that they are sexy, and they don't have to be hard. So swap out your coffee like I either drink a Keto coffee at home that I really like and it's healthier. I make coffee at home. I'll get Starbucks every now and then, but the habit is broken. I have done savings challenge challenges like, it's just interesting that when you start, you can't stop, and that's the goal. Like creating those healthy habits that are for you, for your business, for your bank account, for your energy, like, the more you can stack the habits, you'll start to stack so much cash, so much joy, so much peace. And that's what, like, I would say every human desires, and you can do it. And how like the secret sauce. The secret of the secret of secretus sauce is habits. So if you want to have a conversation around this, if you want some accountability, let me know I'm here. I want you to feel what I'm feeling. And it doesn't have to be hard. It can be super fun. And swapping can be a great hack for you. So I love you so much, and I'll see you on the next episode bye.
