did yesterday and blow your mind? Or what was it just me. Like this is really good. Sometimes you got to own your shit. And I was like, this is a really good plan, like within a whole month, or even quicker depending on your speed. Your whole business could be tightened up streamlined and ready for all the moolah to come in, like so, so good. And even if it took you like, a couple months, it's not that bad, right? Like, stop constantly stressing yourself out, say with me, stop constantly stressing myself out, right? It's not worth it, we get to say no more no is responsible, we get to say yes to the things that are going to light us up, we get to really buckle down and take care of business, you're a badass CEO, and we don't want you to be stressed. So it's gonna require some focus, like I said yesterday. So in addition to that, you're still you're the CEO of your life and your business. And so today, we're gonna talk about how to automate your life because it can also be a huge stressor for women. Because there's so much I was even driving in law school today. And the other day, I just wasn't feeling good. It was like, I don't know if it was like how the baby was positioned, but I was having trouble breathing. We almost called the ambulance, because I was just like, I can't even breathe. And so it's just when you're like growing humans, raising humans, and growing a business, it's just it's a lot, right. And so and we're emotional creatures. And there's just, there's so many layers, right? And so I just I say that because I don't want you to feel like you're alone. And so let's take care of what like the yesterday, and today is all about, like, it's already so complicated and chaotic and stressful, especially if you add children into there, the bigger your business gets, it can, it can be overwhelming. Because you're just in such a growth phase. So it's just a lot. So let's take care of what we can take care of. So today is all about really buckling down and automating your life. So one of my favorite hacks, what I call is voluntary house arrest. So I've done this many times, in all my years, when I am feeling a little bit heavy, and I'm like, okay, things just need to be dialed in. And I'm not going to leave my house for a weekend. So like from Friday evening to Monday morning, we don't go anywhere we DoorDash. And like, I let my husband know, it's it's house arrest time. Like we still have fun, and we still do things but just the fact of not going anywhere. really cuts down on like, you do one activity on the weekend. And it can take like your whole day. From the time you get ready to leaving and all the things so and it's football season right now. So that's like perfect, because my husband wants to be home, because he wants to watch the football. And Emma is pretty good about like doing spurts of playing on her own. So it it is an opportunity to get things done. So voluntary house arrest, I even did it before I had Emma. And so it's just so helpful because you, you lock yourself in and you get shit done. So whether it be decluttering cleaning, a little bit of all of that or even like you can even use this for your business. But it's just been one of the most helpful tools I have used over all the years. So just wanted to pass that to you from a cleaning and decluttering standpoint. So if you feel like your house is a hot freaking mess, you have like three options live with it. Which I don't want you to do, because it's probably overwhelming you hire somebody right to come in. Whether that be like to declutter it, organize it and continue to come in right to clean it or for you to roll up your sleeves. So you can do a combination of the last two as well. Because that's what I do. So because we can't expect one person to do all the things or know like, where everything goes. So like to say that you're not going to be involved at all is highly unlikely unless you have like a unicorn of a person. So with that being said Edie, we want to assess what is stressing you out just like we did yesterday. So like, is there a room stressing you out? Is there just so much stuff and we need to like get rid of stuff. There's cool things where you can like schedule donation pickups, which I do love to do, because then it's like a deadline. It's like, okay, the donation truck is coming, let's get everything ready, which would be perfect to like, schedule it, do your house arrest, put everything by the door. And then you could like schedule the donation pickup for like that Monday. You could even like invite some like friends over and have like a decluttering party or pay somebody to come over for that weekend. So like, you can incorporate a couple of these strategies even together, which is kind of cool. But we want to assess what really is stressing you out. And we want to get some momentum, right? Like, if it's the kitchen, or the living room, like think of where you spend a lot of your time because when we spend a lot of time in a place that feels chaotic, then that starts to spill over to other parts of our life and our brain and our body. And it just starts to like mess with us. Right. I've been doing like quick little Sprint's of like, okay, I got 20 minutes, what can I do for the house, right? Because although I love my business, I've got to make sure I'm taking care of my household as well. You can do really great things like automating your meals, whether that be with like a meal prep company, locally, or online, there's tons and tons of them, I'm about to sneeze. But God bless me. Um, so we can automate some of the meals, or have like a recipe bank that you can pull from Instacart is my BFF, I can't even tell you. The last time I was in a grocery store for my family, I had to hop in a grocery store before one of our implementation retreats, but that was just to like, pick up a few things. But I even Instacart did most of the retreat. Food, like Instacart is my best friend, we we are very intimate with each other. It just saves so much time and money. Because I can even see my whole bill all together. And I have like a beat beat the beat the bill type of challenge and like, Ooh, okay, I really want it under 100 bucks, how can I look? I eliminate. So it really is helpful as where the grocery store you're so much more tempted, right to go by the bakery. And you're not really you know, most of the time not. We're not like adding up each item. And then you get to checkout, and it's a little bit higher than you wanted, right? So Instacart is not only gonna save you time, but it's gonna save you money, which is great. I'm all about that, especially on wealthy Wednesday, right? So Instacart is a huge one for me, we have somebody come to our house every Monday and she does like a clean sweep. I honestly eventually want to even get to like somebody coming in every single weekday. I know that's obsessive, but there's just so much that someone could do, right. And it's constant toys everywhere. And we're about to add a second one, right, like, there's constantly laundry. So there's a lot to do. And so she definitely she comes for three hours. And she mops she wipes the kitchen down. She folds laundry, she vacuum, she shampoos, the carpets like she does a ton for me in those three hours, which is fantastic. It's worth every single penny and then some. So, but I can eventually see us increasing that, right? You can automate things on Amazon. Like if you want to put toilet paper on subscription, you can do that, like things that you'd like always need. And you could just set the frequency of when you think you need it. Which is great. Because then it just magically shows up, which is we love that. So just think of little things that you can do. Because even like it doesn't take that long to, you know, pick up a thing of toilet paper, but it's the brain power to go pick up the toilet paper, right? Whether even if you have to, like go on Amazon or go to the store to pick it up. It's like another thing in your brain. So the more things we can automate, your brain is going to have more space to do bigger and better things. And just to be able to like chill for a moment, right? I even love anything that I have to do manual. Like I'll watch the Bachelorette, why, like if there's any laundry I need to fold or listen to an audiobook. As I do dishes like I love to like think about how I can double dip things and not just do that one activity and it's like, quote unquote, a waste of my time. If I was even telling this to my husband the other night, I don't love doing a nightly pickup, like where I just like sweep the house because I'm dead tired. But man is it so fucking nice to wake up to like a clean put together home, it starts my day off so much better. It's kind of like when you make your bed, I just I feel so much better. So and it doesn't even take that long to do it. So it's really like staying on top of things is like the biggest thing that I've learned from automating my life. Because when the dishes pile up, then you don't really want to do them because they're a hot freaking mess. And it's so it's so big, right. But if it's just a little bit of dishes, like we had a little bit of dishes yesterday, and so I just washed them really quickly, and then ran the dishwasher and then it will be ready to go today. So there's just, you know, there's little things we can do those little Sprint's to help make it feel so, so manageable, and not stressful, which is great. I'm getting my oil changed on Friday, and I'm just gonna stay there and work. Right. So it's just like thinking of things that you can do, whether it be automation, or delegation or optimization, right, like optimizing your time. We want to do all the things. So I really want you to think about like what's stressing you out? Where do you want to start with automating, and little by little, you're like, you're gonna crave to do more of it. And just really maximizing your time is really what I wanted to, to focus on these last two days with you is like, let's dial things in. So you're not so fucking stressed. And you can actually do the things that you want to do. Right? When you're constantly run around running around with your head cut off, it's hard to even think about, oh, let me grow my business, or let me work on my health and fitness or my marriage, right? It's just your brain is so tapped that you can't even think about those things, even though you would want to right? So and I think they go hand in hand, the more your business makes, the more you can automate your life, right? Like, I even have a goal of having a chef come to our house, like once a week and like prepare like delicious meals for us that are fresh, right? Like I'm at my home office. They're like, Oh, hello, Nelly. I prepared you know, this delicious. Salad for you and smoothie. Right? So there's just so much that we can do to help create that energy now, right? I'm like, I very often will get like a smoothie delivered to my house. While I'm on a call and all like rundown and it's at my friend door. Like it's, it is so cool. And I was thinking the other day, like when Emma was born DoorDash was not a thing, right? Like, so let's use all the technology, all the services available to us. I even had like a sitter come in the summer to our house, so I could get like some things done. When baby boys born, I'll probably do that too. In regards to like, Hey, I'm here, but like, can you just watch my kid? So I can go do something and not like, freak out that. Like I just I'm such a mama bear. Like especially when they're like itty bitty, like they're just so fragile. That like, it's hard to actually like, go in the other room unless they're like glued to your body. Right? So having somebody there even just to sit even if they're sleeping can be a peace of mind to like run upstairs, go do a few things. Maybe go get my nails done real quick, right? Like I'm close nearby type of thing. So I just want you to be less stressed. I have just had so many conversations recently with entrepreneurs of how fucking stress they are like we're talking people that are making six figures all the way up to billions. I just want you to know no matter where you're at, there's there's a lot of heaviness going on in the business world behind the scenes and everyone's putting on a smiley face smiling face. But there's lots of overwhelm and stress. And you know, we can't control everything but I love to focus on what can I do, how can I be a part of the solution and not the problem? I'm constantly coaching and mentoring myself which is quite annoying if I have to say so. Because I'm like, Damn you, come on, let's go. I'm very tough love on myself in the best way possible. But there's just there's a lot and He gets lonelier, the higher you climb in business, and I just want you to know, you support so many people, from your family, to your team, to your clients or customers like, this is why I love doing what I do. Because who's supporting you, who's in your corner who's pouring in to you who's listening to you who's brainstorming with you, right? Like you are pouring so much that we get to also make sure we're pouring into your cup too. So that's why I'm CEO support. I'm behind the scenes. I'm to be here to be a listening ear to brainstorm, to strategize to pump you up, to pick you up, like do whatever I can to support you. And it is so nice to have that when when you need it in all different capacities. So I'm here with open arms ready to support you even more. And so let's get your business automated. Let's get your life automated. Anything I can do you know how to get a hold of me. Happy to support you and I can't wait to hear all of your wins and how stress free you feel. Especially going into all the holidays that are coming up sooner rather than later. It's going to be here before you know it. All right. Make it a great day.
