I am so excited to record this episode for you. I was pulling out of my driveway and heading to our wealth con speaker dinner. I was like, Oh, this is a perfect time to record a podcast. I think it's important to use your time wisely. I have always been quote unquote busy. And that's never gonna change, right? Like I'm I am like 100 days away from becoming a mom of two, I run two companies. I'm a married woman, like I have friends. Like the list goes on and on like and even before all of those things are reality. I was still busy. So we're adding a foundation. All the things. So this morning, I put like the next two weeks of podcast episodes on note cards, like individual note cards, like the title. And I just I do really, really well if I if I have a prompt like, I can go live or record a podcast episode, kind of my superpower if I just know, genuinely, genuinely, genuinely, if I could talk genuinely, you know, I'm trying to say dammit. i As long as I know about what I want to talk about. I love listening to my intuition and not like feeling so scripted. It's just my jam. Not everyone is that way. There was one TED talk that I did years ago. And they I don't want to say they made me use PowerPoint slides. But like, they didn't say that I couldn't not I could not use PowerPoint. There's like here, you need to have a PowerPoint. I'm like, Oh, okay. I never speak with PowerPoints typically, like I may doodle on a whiteboard or a piece of paper. But I typically don't do PowerPoint, it's just not who I am. It almost feels like a block for me of like pre scripted stuff. Unless I'm like showing something that needs to be visually shown type of thing. Like if I'm doing a demo or something out, like share my screen. So anyways, all that to say like, I just love speaking from the heart, trusting the process that it's the exact message for you. And trusting that the people that want to listen, are the ones that get to hear it that need to hear it that are going to benefit from hearing it. So I just I love Trusting Trust the process. So anyways, that was a long winded way of saying I have all of these note cards in my car. And my goal is to start batch trip back the I can't dog batch creating podcast episodes and I drive about two hours a day when you start to really add it up. I'm like I can bang out some episodes pretty fast. Now sometimes I like to listen to audiobooks, but I have them ready in my car. And so it's just a really good, tiny habit of oh, I'm driving. Let me record a podcast episode right? And not feel like I have to add it into my day somewhere else. So again, long winded way of trying to give you a tip of you know, create the system and attach it to something that you're already doing. Bada bing, bada boom, that's a tiny habit, right? Like, there's all these little ways that we can do that throughout the day, and so can be really powerful. Wealthy, Wednesday is another habit, right? So it's like okay, what do I do on Wednesday where I can like, insert it in And then it's a lot easier to check in on my finances. So. So yeah, so today's podcast episode is how to crush this last quarter. So maybe for you that is September, October, November, and you're taking December off, or you want to use September to prep for the last 90 days, the last three months, etc. But like you could honestly use all of these principles that I'm going to talk about anytime of the year. But I want you to imagine this quarter as a business makeover, ooh, does not feel sexy, a business makeover. And what I mean by that is, I want you to look at the main categories of your business, we've got admin, we've got sales and marketing. And we've got clients and customers, right. So I want you to take those three buckets, I put sales and marketing together typically, marketing is what I like to call it, because they're really the same thing. Like, if you're marketing your business, we want to make sales, right? If you want to divide them out, you totally can. But my brain does better when I can just kind of like think of them in the same bucket because I want them to support each other. So just think about it that way, you could also think about it as like a football team offense and defense type of thing. So just a few different ways to look at it. But put those three categories up on a piece of paper, or a whiteboard, or anywhere where you can visually see them. And then I want you to think about okay, in 90 days, what are the improvements that I would like to make in these three categories, admin, sales and marketing, marketing, and client or customer support, right. So they all connect, and they're all important. Typically, we have a strong category, like I crush it was sales and marketing. My second strongest is clients, like, obviously, I want my clients to be happy. And a lot of that is taken care of by my team. And then admin is where I struggle the most like I have a lot of people helping me, on the admin side, I pay most of my money to help with admin, because there's just so much back end to my business. And if it were all up to me, it would be a hot, freaking mess. So I really want you to think of those three categories and think about the improvements you would like to make. And really clean up your business. You can even create a fourth category, if you feel so inclined to be you, right? Maybe you've been really wanting to get into therapy, dye your hair, get some new clothes, right like truly do a makeover. And work on your mindset hire coach join valleys, inner circle, that was like a little shameless plug to do like it. So you can add you as a fourth category if you're feeling really cool. And I would highly recommend you add that category because you are your business. And we can have the best administrative back end of your business, the best sales and marketing and keep our clients really happy. But I want you to be happy too. So I would definitely highly consider you thinking about that category as well. But really what we're wanting to do here is a business makeover, right? Looking at your finances to write like planning, like your budget for your business, not only for the month, not only for the quarter, but also for 2023. Right, like and you can use all of this year end data to obviously support that. So really, what I wanted you to get from this super quick podcast episode is, it's time to do a business makeover finished the year so strong. You there's so many things that you can do like strategies to maximize your and a lot of people want to get rid of money. So even if you've got like clients, you could reach back out to them see if they want to like pay ahead or pay off their like balance. Like if they're making payments, they may just want to throw some money at you. I've definitely had that happen with my clients are like, hey, like, I want to get this balance down. I've got some extra cash, I would like to get rid of it. Can you send me an invoice so don't be afraid to like reach out to people and ask them right? Like, it's okay. So all of those categories, I want you to think about improvements that you can make that would really yield the most results. I'm trying to park in a parking spot while holding a phone to record a podcast episode. All the things but so, like my podcast was not something I had at the beginning of the year. It was something that I wanted, but it just wasn't timing so it wasn't the right time. So we definitely want to make sure like we're timing things accordingly. Anything that's not like urgent and important we can put on a parking lot less meaning like, okay, maybe we revisit that in q1, q2, etc. Like, what is really the most important things in this quarter. And tying up loose ends cleaning up the mess, really focusing in on your sales strategy, your your marketing, right, like expanding your network, there's so much that we can do, which I know can be so freakin overwhelming at times. But brain dumping it all out is going to be the best first thing that you can do. And then what has worked so well for me is then calendaring it out of like, okay, this day, I want to focus on this, and then I block it off on my calendar. On this day, I want to focus on this, like I had that implementation retreat, right. So I knew I had that coming. So I put a bunch of things on that, on that weekend that I knew I could accomplish. I've got a content Day coming up. So I know I'm going to be able to create lots of content I How, why I talk to you about the podcast system at the beginning of this episode was that as a part of my 90 day plan, right of like, making sure I'm ahead on podcasts, not only now, but when baby comes so I can, you know, enjoy my life, and rest and recover. And then obviously even before baby, then I can go focus on other things like I know it's running in the background. Perfect, awesome. Let's keep moving forward. Right. So we just want to have a lot of strategy. And get ahead. Like that's what I want you to keep saying get ahead, get ahead, get ahead. Those who plan when I really do think so. We want to plan to win, we can't just like cross our fingers and hope and pray it happens I want you to really increase your odds for success and, and really focus in on what are the most important things that you get to do in this 90 days, that is also going to set you up for success in 2023. So I like I feel so strongly that this is the most important quarter I made because I'm having a baby. And like life has completely changing and business is somewhat changing. But it it feels really like I've never been so fired up to do a sprint, and to crush it than I do right now. So I think really finding that why creating the urgency not only for your customers or clients, but for yourself, right? Like I really want you to maximize this time. So brain dumping in those categories of like how you can give yourself and your business and makeover. And then equally, starting to calendar it out, we'll make sure that you don't feel overwhelmed. And then we've got to like obviously track your progress, right. It's kind of like a budget, you can make the budget and never check the budget, we don't want that right, we want to check the budget and check in on your progress, make sure that we're moving the needle forward, we're making progress. That is the biggest thing that I work on with clients progress is progress is progress, like, as long as we can keep seeing the needle move forward. That's all that I care about. And that's all that you should care about, you're gonna get there, right, like, you're gonna get there, I promise you you are obviously the more focused that we are in the the more aligned steps that we take, the faster we can get there. So there's that too. So I'm excited for you, I'm gonna go eat some dinner with our westcon speakers, which I'm super excited about. If we have not chatted about inner circle, I do have call times available, I would love to chat with you, if you're not in our inner circle, especially getting you in there before year end, and then going into 2023. Just because I'm having a baby does not mean that I am not wanting to support you. And I think it's more even more motivation to show others how you can create a huge, beautiful business that can continue to run when you do have a baby. So we've really been engineering this for success. And I want to support you any way that I can. And so we're going all in with our inner circle. So we can support a handful of amazing ladies. And then they go out into the world and support others. And then everything else in our business and my business will be hands off right like you can get DIY programs you can get on demand programs, you can listen to our podcast, but if you want hands on support, it's in our inner circle and the doors close December 1. And I don't know when they re we open because it'll be a full so it'll honestly be like as people go on to something else.
